Ingredients

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 800 g crushed tomatoes
  • 400 g can mixed beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 150 ml water
  • Salt and pepper
  • 400 g pasta

Method

  1. Soften onion in oil for 5 minutes, then add garlic for 30 seconds.
  2. Brown mince thoroughly and stir in paste, paprika and oregano.
  3. Add tomatoes and water and simmer for 25 minutes.
  4. Stir in beans and cook another 10 minutes until hot and the sauce thickens. Season.
  5. Serve tossed with cooked pasta and a little cooking water.
